183 Club members spotted together

Jacky Chu, former member of Taiwanese boyband 183 Club, recently posted a group picture of the five members spending time together, sparking rumours of a reunion.

However, current member Ming Dao expressed that it was only a simple meal and shared that this happened to be one of the rare times that all members were present during their annual gatherings.

While the band never formally disbanded, it has been some years since they have had any group activities. Jacky and Johnny Yen have already left the group, leaving Ming Dao, Sam Wang and Ehlo Huang as the remaining members.

Ming Dao expressed his wish for a 183 Club reunion last year and also shared that he hoped that they could perform ‘Ecstasy Meter’ one day again.

When asked if the five of them were planning on reuniting, Ming Dao answered, “I don’t want to say too much as we haven’t planned anything yet. If there is any news, I guarantee that you will hear it first from the members’ Weibo.”

The 37-year-old singer-actor is currently planning to enter the perfume cosmetics industry and recently spoke about his choice at an event on Saturday.

He shared how he was still not completely sure of how the industry works but said that he was very sensitive to different smells and had many different ideas. He also shared that he chose to start with the shampoo industry as it was a product used by everyone.

Ming Dao further added that he was very particular when it came to selecting what brands to use and said that he would rather “not have a single customer than to sell products which would cause harm to others.”
