Taiwanese singer-actor Aaron Yan has revealed his plans to temporarily retire from showbiz in October. The 30-year-old disclosed his retirement plans during a party celebrating the end of filming for his latest drama, Refresh Man, according to Taiwanese media.

Aaron entered showbiz as a member of Fahrenheit and has been in the industry for 10 years. The singer-actor had dropped hints about his upcoming retirement back in February, when he revealed that he was wondering if he was “not that suitable for a career as an entertainer”.

Aaron also revealed his plans for the next few months, sharing that he will be going to China in July to film for a new project with Wallace Chung for three months. Following that, the singer-actor will be taking a break and head to UCLA in Los Angeles, America to study filming. Aaron also shared that he will decide to focus on either filmmaking or scriptwriting there.

With plans to stay there for at least three months, the 30-year-old admitted that while his education credentials might not be good, he wanted to better himself, and learn something new so that his skills could be acknowledged by the public.
