Ady An denies having a failed pregnancy

On top of that, the 37-year-old actress was also thought to have kept the news of her failed pregnancy a secret in consideration for her 8-year-old step-daughter, whom her businessman husband Chen Ronglian had from his previous marriage, as she did not want the young child to feel “neglected” at the prospect of having a step-sibling.

Ady turned up at Ronglian’s company dinner yesterday night (Mar 25), and spoke up for the first time since her hospitalisation to deny all the recent rumours made about her surgery.

Despite elegantly dressed in a white embellished top and a blue maxi skirt, the actress seemed worn out, and appeared to have lost weight.

“Even though I didn’t clarify matters, it doesn’t mean it’s true,” Ady said, denying claims that her surgery was for an ectopic pregnancy.

She revealed that she intentionally kept her surgery low-profile, and did not go into details because she did not want to worry her in-laws, who may not be able to cope with the news at their old age.

She further threatened to press charges against rumourmongers responsible for spreading false information about her surgery and for disrupting her rest and recuperation.

Ady married Ronglian in June last year. Despite claims that she was a stepmother to Ronglian’s 8-year-old daughter, the actress remained adamant that her marriage with Ronglian was both their first, and has not given further clarification about the truth of this matter.
