Ady An welcomes baby boy

Taiwanese actress Ady An has welcomed her first child, a son. She announced the good news on her Weibo today (July 18) with a photo of her bundle of joy. She also placed her engagement and wedding bands, embellished with sparkling diamonds, on her son’s feet.

“After waiting for so long, I finally get to meet you,” she gushed. “You look much better in person than in your ultrasound photos. I’m thankful to the blessings that everyone has showered on us, and that my baby has come into this world as a healthy child.”

She also thanked her businessman husband, Chen Ronglian, in the post, as she shared, “I’ll always remember you getting down on one knee to propose to me, and the moment we exchanged rings. I told myself that I have to give you a complete family. With our baby’s arrival, our home has become even warmer, and I hope that the three of us can walk together hand in hand towards happiness.”

Apart from the congratulatory comments, netizens also remarked that her bling almost overshadowed her son. One netizen quipped, "That diamond is bigger than your son's toes! Just how many carats is that?" Another mused, “Aren’t those rings a bit too heavy to be hanging on your son’s toes?”

Ady confirmed in March, which was also her second wedding anniversary, that she was expecting. A month before giving birth, she shared stunning snaps from her pregnancy photoshoot, but stopped short of revealing her delivery date.

In March 2018, she denied having a failed pregnancy after reports of her terminating an ectopic pregnancy (a medical condition where the baby attaches outside the uterus) emerged.
