Alex To welcomes first child

Alex To welcomed his first child yesterday (October 2) after four years of marriage to filmmaker Ice Lee. It’s a dream come true for the first-time father after he previously mentioned his wish to welcome a child.

Although his relationship with Ice was frowned upon, given their 24-year age gap (he’s reported to be one year older than his wife’s mother), the 54-year-old declared the good news, sharing that he was both excited and nervous. Alex stopped work for a month before Ice gave birth in order to be with his wife, and will continue to stay home to look after mother and son during his wife’s confinement period.

In his announcement, he also shared a photo of him holding his son’s hand. He announced in May that he was expecting his first child, then sharing, “Life is full of magic and surprises. I thought that I would only have my wife to love in this life, but now I’ll have two people to love!”

Alex was last seen in Singapore with Ice at the Global Chinese Music Awards (GCMA) in 2015 where he openly expressed his hopes for Singapore to bring him “baby luck” as he was actively trying for a child with his wife then.
