Alyssa Chia and Xiu Jie Kai expecting their first child

Taiwanese actor Xiu Jie Kai announced on Facebook yesterday that his actress-girlfriend Alyssa Chia, who is nine years older than him, is currently pregnant with their first child.

Alyssa and Jie Kai got together after Alyssa ended her first marriage with her former husband Charles Sun in 2010 and they admitted to their relationship last October.

Yesterday, the 32-year-old actor shared a family photo of him, Alyssa and her daughter from her previous marriage and left a touching message. “Thank you, little angel (Alyssa’s daughter), for always being by our side to welcome another little angel into the family. Thank you, mummy (Alyssa), for making me the most fortunate person on earth. I would turn my fortune into a blessing, so that we can all embrace it.”

Shortly after, Alyssa also commented affectionately on Facebook, “Thank you to the both of you for making me feel blessed. I also want to thank God for blessing me with peace and good health.”

After their posts were published online, Jie Kai’s manager also made an official statement that Alyssa is currently pregnant for five months and they couple are expecting a baby girl.

While the two are still not married, Alyssa stated that she is not worried about their relationship status. “To be honest, I don’t feel anticipation for this issue (marriage). Being able to lead our lives well is more important.”
