Fans of Andy Lau can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the Heavenly King is well on his way to making a full recovery. He fell from a horse on January 17 while he was filming an advertisement in Thailand and spent close to two months in the hospital before being discharged early last month.

Andy updated his official blog with a photo of him standing up with the help of a walking stick, along with a photo of him while he was filming his movie Shock Wave. He captioned his post with, “It’s you who’s standing in front of me and supporting me from the back! JUST DO IT!”.

He also cheekily warned his fans to remain loyal supporters of him, which led many to comment on his post with words of encouragement and promises to continue being his fans.

Many are also curious to know if his speedy recovery means that he will be attending the Shock Wave premiere, which will take place tonight ahead of its official launch on April 20 in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong film is directed by famed director Herman Yau, who has worked with Andy twice in the past, first in 1991 movie Don’t Fool Me, then once again in 1999 for Fascination Armour. Andy not only plays the leading role in Shock Wave but also takes on the role as producer for the action flick.
