Andy Lau’s wife reportedly pregnant with second child

Cantopop singer-actor Andy Lau’s wife, Malaysian Carol Chu, is reportedly pregnant with a baby boy.

Carol, 50, who was photographed with an apparent baby bump, is said to be four months pregnant. When asked to confirm the pregnancy news, Andy, who is known to be very protective of his family’s privacy, replied: “No response, thank you for your concern.”

The couple, who married in 2008 and have a 4-year-old daughter, Hanna Lau, are said to have been trying for another baby for quite a period of time, and have even sought the help of acclaimed gynaecologist, Dr. William So.

It is said that Carol’s artificial insemination (IVF) was successful last year, and that she is now four months pregnant with a baby boy.

Andy, 54, is currently promoting his latest movie, From Vegas to Macau III overseas, with a new project that’s slated to start filming soon. Thus, he asked the couple’s aunt, who usually lives in Malaysia to travel to Hong Kong and take care of his wife in his absence.

Carol, whose pregnancy will be considered ‘high-risk’ due to her age, often wears loose clothing now, and a mask to prevent herself from getting sick. She also has assistants and bodyguards watching over her to prevent any mishaps that might happen.
