Angela Chang: My family feud is melodramatic
Although it has been nine years since Taiwanese singer Angela Chang’s

family feud first made the news in 2009, the matter is far from over, with the latest episode being her uncle’s threat to ruin her music career unless she get on her knees and apologise for her mistakes.

Sharing about her feelings in an interview on Chinese variety programme New Youth Hot Chat, the 36-year-old revealed that her life feels as complicated as the stories written in television dramas.

“I once admired the female leads in the dramas because of the lives they led,” she shared, “But now that I think about it, my life is quite similar. Isn’t it very melodramatic?”

While life may not be smooth-sailing all the time, the singer believes that it will not remain unfortunate as well. “If this is the life that I have to experience, then I will accept it as it is,” she expressed.

The singer also let on that she will want to give her children the best in the future, and shares her hopes for them to lead simple lives, instead of one that is complex and drama-like.

“Despite so, they will still have to face up to the realities of society eventually,” she said.
