Angelababy refutes reports of plastic surgery
The model-actress’ appearance on an old episode of Keep Running has raised questions about her looks
Chinese model-actress Angelababy has always been plagued with plastic surgery rumours, with many accusing the 30-year-old of going under the knife to achieve her good looks. Things came to a head in 2015, when she had a plastic surgeon examine her on television to confirm that she did not alter her looks surgically.
However, it seems that the rumours have returned, after a special broadcast of an episode of the Chinese variety show Keep Running aired on April 27. Angelababy is one of the fixed cast members on the weekly show, and appeared in almost every episode. However, during that particular broadcast, many noticed that the model-actress’ eyes appeared to be larger, and that her face shape seemed to have changed.
Pictures of the 30-year-old during that particular episode began circulating online, with many netizens convinced that she had gone under the knife. However, some fans also stood up for her, sharing that Angelababy may have been trying out a different makeup style.
On Saturday (April 27), Angelababy uploaded a picture of herself on her Weibo account with the caption, “Watch the show well, and take note of the trash sorting (rules).” Her caption referenced the episode where she was said to have “looked different”, as the cast members journeyed to a rubbish dump to learn more about how their daily trash is disposed of. Many took Angelababy’s update as a subtle denial of her plastic surgery rumours as well.
