Ariel Lin takes part in annual swimming event

Taiwanese singer Ariel Lin participated in the 35th Sun Moon Lake Swimming Carnival held at the Zhaowu Pier on Sunday morning (Sep 24). She was at the event with her father and took two and a half hours to complete the whole 3.3 kilometres course.

The 34-year-old also posted pictures on Weibo to share about her accomplishment, which she called a longtime dream of hers.

In her pictures, the actress wore a tight black diving suit while posing by the pier; she also posed with her participation certificate with a big smile on her face after the event was over.

Ariel said that even though the whole course was not easy and she suffered many kicks under water, she was still glad that she managed to accomplished one of her dreams and rewarded herself with a chicken drumstick, as seen in a separate selfie.

Replying to fans’ comments on her Weibo post, Ariel revealed her biggest dream is, in fact, to complete an Ironman triathlon.

This year’s Sun Moon Lake Swimming Carnival saw 19,862 participants, including Taiwan’s former president Ma Ying-jeou.
