Barbie Hsu forsakes high heels for sneakers
The mother of two had a change in foot size after pregnancy
According to Taiwan media reports, Barbie Hsu’s left foot went up by one shoe size after she gave birth to her second child, a boy named Wang Xilin, last May, and her left foot is now bigger than her right.
The self-professed shoe lover who once spoke of her massive collection, saying, “Shoes that cost below 10,000 NTD (approximately S$455) are very cheap,” owns more than 700 pairs of branded shoes and is unable to fit in any of her old shoes now.
Her shoe collection has been collecting dust ever since she gave birth, due to her differing foot size. Still, the two-time mother feels her sacrifices are “worthwhile.”
Apart from having different shoe sizes and a thicker body now, motherhood has changed Barbie mentally - the actress shared that her shopping habits have changed and she seldom buys anything for herself now.
Most of her purchases made online are for her kids, “[I’ll] buy groceries, children’s clothes and shoes, and I’ll get it the next day. [It’s] very convenient,” she said.
Barbie married her businessman beau Wang Xiaofei in 2011 after a whirlwind courtship romance. The couple welcomed their first child, Wang Xiyue, three years after marriage.
