Boy or girl? Jay Chou prepares all-black baby products

Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou announced news of Hannah Quinlivan’s pregnancy in April and since then, Jay would make quick escapes from events, refusing to accept interviews about it.

For the first time yesterday, the 36-year-old Jay accepted interviews about his wife’s pregnancy and when asked about his baby’s gender, he was unable to contain his smile and replied, “I knew you were going to ask this question. Are you ready?”

Then, Jay flashed a question mark sign that was on the inner lining of his jacket and cheekily replied, “You will know when the day comes. Keep on waiting,” keeping everyone in suspense.

Jay continued to say that he will not be in the delivery room with Hannah when she goes into labour. “I will be stressed if I go in. I’ll be fine waiting outside,” he said.

The father-to-be explained that his family already knows the gender of the baby and added, “Of course I would know, I kept asking the doctor!”

He went on to say that he has prepared all-black baby products for their unborn child so far, inclusive of a black and gold baby stroller that he has prepared. Jay said that his friends even joked that they would send Jay a Batmobile and he chuckled, “My baby will look cool in that!”
