Carina Lau spotted at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show

Chinese actress Carina Lau made her first public appearance at the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show in Shanghai on Monday, following rumours of her being pregnant by infamous blogger Song Zu De.

As one of the specially invited guests, the actress posted a picture of herself on Weibo with the caption “at Victoria’s Secret”, looking ever so stylish in a white top and a black blazer, both from her own fashion brand ANIRAC. She finished off the look with black sunglasses and big hoop earrings.

While she has not publicly acknowledged nor denied her pregnancy claims, they appeared to have been dismissed after a quote from writer Eileen Chang’s novel Half a Lifelong Romance was made.

“The pain that she felt seemed to be the only thing living in her body,” Carina wrote.

She is also set to star in the upcoming drama-adaption of the novel and has already begun filming for it.

More doubt was further drawn to Zu De’s claims after netizens pointed out that the 51-year-old actress’s slim figure could be seen in a separate photo on Sunday. She was in a black outfit, posing with some dancers and said she was “in the mood for dancing”.

Zu De’s controversial history, along with Carina and her husband, fellow actor Tony Leung’s intentions of not having children despite being married for almost ten years, made the rumours even less credible.
