Christine Fan has “nothing to do” with Angela Chang

Taiwanese singer Christine Fan attended an event on Tuesday (Sept 19) and the issue of her feud with fellow singer and ex-good friend Angela Chang was a hot topic. When asked if it had caused any inconveniences, she replied with a simple “no” and said that she was very happy working, singing and being a mother to her twin boys.

Christine and Angela were previously from the same company, Linfair Records, and used to be very good friends, even collaborating on two songs together. However, there were rumours that the two fell out due to competition for the same resources from the company and this conflict was not resolved even after Angela left the label. During a recent episode of Chinese singing show Mask Singer China 2, the pair did not even bat an eyelid at each other when they shared the stage.

The show requires the stars to be heavily disguised in masks and outfits and Christine chose the character ‘Baymax’ from Disney’s Big Hero 6, which Angela remarked that she would never dress up as. However, Christine chose to give Angela the benefit of the doubt that she simply dislikes Baymax’s character and “was not personally attacking her” as she said that everyone was already in their costumes during the rehearsal and had no idea who the other parties were.

“I do not have much to say but I just wish her all the best in her career and in life,” replied the 41-year-old singer when she was asked how her present relationship with Angela was.

It seems like the pair is not planning to reconcile anytime soon as Christine admitted that the two have nothing to do with each other anymore, and added that Angela had to “find another songwriter.”
