Penny Jiang, wife of Taiwanese Mandopop singer David Tao, is suspected to be pregnant after photos of her out with friends appeared online; her loose-fitting top fueled the speculation.
Fans posted many comments on the Instagram page belonging to actress Terri Kwan, who was among the party and uploaded the photo in question. “Mrs Tao seems to be pregnant,” “Is Mrs Tao expecting?” some wrote.
Penny has quietly emerged from hiding in the wake of her husband’s infamous cheating scandal involving his ex-girlfriend Yang Zi Qing. After two months out of the public eye, she has revived her Facebook account, which she shut down after David was caught driving actress Carina Chen home.
Mrs Tao has denied she is pregnant, however. She made a statement through David’s GREAT Entertainment label that said, “There’s no such thing!” But celeb watchers say her denial could also be due to the superstition that one mustn’t jinx pregnancies under three months by confirming them.
