Donnie Yen, Cissy Wang are their daughter’s biggest fans
The couple pulled out all the stops to welcome their firstborn home from a school trip
Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen and Hong Kong model Cissy Wang’s daughter, 12-year-old Jasmine Yen, recently returned home from her first overseas trip without her parents.
Naturally, the doting parents made sure to be at the airport to welcome their daughter home, and even prepared their very own welcome “presents” for Jasmine.
Cissy later shared a number of pictures and videos of their grand welcome on her Instagram, sharing that they had missed their daughter so much, as she was overseas for a one-week-long school trip.
In the video, Donnie and Cissy can be seen happily holding up a long banner with the words, “Welcome Home” written on it. They also specially prepared two flower leis for Jasmine, to celebrate her return.
Once Jasmine spotted her parents, she was so surprised that she couldn’t help but to crouch down and burst out laughing, to the delight of her parents.
“So...we embarrassed our princess... who cares?!?! (sic) Her first time away from us, for an entire week!” Cissy wrote on her Instagram.
She also took the opportunity to apologise to Donnie’s fans who wanted a picture with the actor, as it was the family’s “personal time.”
Donnie and Cissy tied the knot in 2003, after dating for three months. The couple welcomed their daughter, Jasmine in 2004, and their son, James, in 2007.
