Elva Hsiao cans comeback plans after losing her voice

The Taiwanese singer has been missing-in-action since last August

Elva Hsiao cans comeback plans after losing her voice
There’s finally news about Elva Hsiao’s whereabouts after she suddenly postponed plans for a new album and cancelled her China concert tour.

According to media reports, Elva fell ill last year while preparing for her new album, and lost her voice as a result.

Her management company shared that the 38-year-old singer was in Los Angeles for dance practice, but gave herself too much stress and ended up with severe headaches and a high fever. She was later diagnosed with acute bronchitis (an inflammation in the lungs causing shortness of breath and fever).

She then sought treatment in Vancouver, but did not see her condition improving.

As a result, her company decided to postpone her work activities for the time being while she recuperates, after her last public appearance in August last year for a fashion event.

Elva was originally slated to release her new album at the end of 2017 and conduct tours in 13 Chinese cities in April this year, but plans fell through when she could not recover from her illness.

Her company has since refunded Chinese organisers for their loss, and no further information was given on her expected comeback date.
