Eric Suen, Macy Chen are married

DOUBLE HAPPINESS: Hong Kong actor-singer Eric Suen held a press conference announcing that he had joined a new record label yesterday, and shared that he had registered his marriage with his long-time girlfriend, Hong Kong singer-actress Macy Chen.

Throughout his career, Eric has been romantically linked to a number of female celebrities, from Hong Kong-based actress Cherrie Ying, to Hong Kong actress Carol Cheng. However, once Eric met Macy, the rumours surrounding his active love life died down, and the couple dated for as long as eight years before settling down together.

Although Eric refused to reveal the day they registered their marriage, he did share how he proposed to Macy, who’s eight years younger than him.

The 44-year-old revealed that, many years ago, he was feeling uncharacteristically down, as if he was in a slump. It was then when he realised that he wanted to start a family. Thus, when he went to Switzerland to visit his sister, he proposed to Macy at one of her favourite desert shops.

However, even before Eric announced the news of his marriage, members of the public had spotted the lovebirds shooting their wedding pictures in Australia last month. The day before, Macy was also spotted entering a photo studio in Hong Kong to shoot her bridal photos, where Macy and Eric were seen behaving just like an old married couple.
