Ethan Ruan and Tiffany Hsu are still separated

It’s been two months since the end of Taiwanese celebrities Tiffany Hsu and Ethan Ruan’s eight-year relationship in March, but when the two were recently spotted eating fried rice together, there were speculations about them getting back together.

Last week, 32-year-old Ethan made an appearance at a press conference and emphasised that there was no third wheel in his relationship with Tiffany. The model-actor neither mentioned the split nor talked about their recent meet-up over dinner, leaving everyone’s questions unanswered.

On the other hand, the model-actress appeared to be forcing a smile at an event yesterday when she addressed the media, “Can I please skip over these private questions? The more we talk about this, the more netizens will get hyped up.”

After being repeatedly probed, Tiffany finally admitted that she is still the same as she was two months ago and the two are still separated. She continued to say, “Our relationship is still very good and we still keep in contact, but we both agree that we do not wish to answer questions about it anymore.”

When questioned if she was still single, she replied, “That’s right, thank you for your concern.”

On Ethan’s side of things, the actor was caught by a reporter last night when he left his house to throw out the trash and sounded desolate when he answered “this is our private situation” to the media’s questions.

The reporter then mentioned to him about Tiffany announcing her single status, to which he replied, “I have no opinions about this.”

When the reporter asked if he would chase her back, he simply shot back with the same answer.
