Etta Ng revealed as the culprit who ‘stole’ from her mother’s home

Former Hong Kong actress and the ex-flame of veteran actor Jackie Chan, Elaine Ng, called the police on Sunday night after discovering that there had been a break-in in her apartment. Little did she know, the culprit turned out to be her own estranged daughter, Etta Ng, who claimed that she went home to “grab some items.”

Elaine first noticed that something was amiss after discovering that two rings worth HK$70,000 (approximately S$12,200), two guitars worth HK$100,000 (approximately S$17,470), and some clothes were missing from her apartment and proceeded to make a police report.

17-year-old Etta then came forward after hearing the news and confessed that she was the one who went back to her mother’s home to retrieve those items as she was going on a trip. She added that she was “confused by her mother’s actions” as she had already informed her about returning home beforehand. However, she arrived at a time when Elaine was not home so she simply “entered using her own key as the lock had not been changed.”

“I had to take a few clothes for my trip. I also took the guitar because I did not own one but liked playing it. I do not know why my mother called the police because I have already asked her if I could take some things and she said it was fine,” Etta admitted.

It was noted that Elaine had posted a picture of Jesus carrying a cross and another of her with her cat on Facebook an hour before reporting the burglary.

"Don't do anything bad before you go. People may not know, but God will. Be grateful and appreciate everyone around you and don’t forget to give thanks every day," the 45-year-old former actress wrote.

While she did not specify who she was talking about, many speculated that she was dropping an indirect warning to Etta.

Elaine had Etta in 1999, after an affair with Jackie. This is not the first time that mother and daughter have made headlines for being in a feud. Etta had previously reported Elaine for child abuse back in 2015 and lodged a police complaint that her mother had verbally intimidated her just this March.

Etta is currently living with her girlfriend, 30-year-old Canadian social media influencer, Andi Autumn, after coming out as a lesbian and is currently supporting herself by working in an office while juggling school work to make extra money.
