Etta Ng speaks up about Jackie Chan: He never existed in my life

Etta Ng, the teenage daughter of former Hong Kong beauty queen Elaine Ng and Hong Kong celebrity Jackie Chan, has spoken up about her father for the first time.

In an interview yesterday, Etta, 15, revealed that she is “far from forgiving him after all these years” and “will never regard him as a father”. Treating him like a stranger now, she bluntly said, “He never existed in my life.”

Despite rumours that things aren’t looking rosy between mother and daughter, Etta said their relationship has improved tremendously as they had a chance to cool down when she was studying overseas in Switzerland for a period of time.

It was previously speculated that Etta actually had a desire to see her dad again, but the teenager cleared that rumour in the interview saying that although her mother would respect her decision to see him, she has already lost interest in the matter and it doesn’t even cross her mind.

When asked about how she feels about being nicknamed Xiao Long Nu (her 61-year-old father’s name in Chinese is Cheng Long), she replied, “I know that my name is Etta Ng and I don’t care what people call me. It doesn’t hurt me anymore.”
