Hannah Quinlivan filmed audition tape for Hollywood film during confinement

Taiwanese actress-model Hannah Quinlivan has her sights set on Hollywood, having being confirmed to be taking part in Skyscraper, an action-thriller flick that will star Dwayne Johnson, Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Byron Mann and more. The mother-of-two also had a part in upcoming movie, S.M.A.R.T. Chase, which stars Orlando Bloom.

Filming for Skyscraper is scheduled to start in October this year and some scenes will be filmed in Hong Kong.

Once the news was released, supportive husband, Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou immediately took to his Facebook to confirm the reports, jokingly adding, “It looks like I’ll have to train you up so that you’ll become [so] muscular, Dwayne Johnson will feel pressured when he acts opposite you!”

The 38-year-old also made an appearance at a promotional event, where he shared more about his wife’s audition process for the film.

Jay let on that the audition tape was actually filmed in Hannah’s room at her confinement centre, three days after she gave birth to their second child.

“We originally wanted to use a banana as a gun, but we were scared that the Caucasians might think of us as unprofessional, so I got a friend to lend us a fake gun,” Jay recalled, before adding that he had helped to direct and film the whole process.

“The director thought that our clip was very creative. [Hannah’s] role did not come easy, and there was a lot of competition for it. Later, when the director had a video call with her, I stood in the corner of the room observing their call, just like a father looking over his daughter,” Jay said.

Jay and Hannah tied the knot in 2015 before welcoming their first child, daughter Hathaway, the same year. Hannah got pregnant last year, after recovering from her ovary disorder, and delivered a baby boy last month.
