Hu Ge to take 2-year break from acting

After much speculations about his intentions to quit showbiz, Hu Ge recently confirmed in an interview that he will be going on break for as long as two years.

The Chinese actor, who was recently spotted applying for an America visa, shared that he plans to learn and improve his English-speaking abilities in America. He will also be studying film in New York city.

Said Hu Ge: “My plan for 2017 is to further my studies. I will be doing less acting projects for the next one to two years, but I hope you will still support and encourage me”.

The 34-year-old also expressed his hopes to make a showbiz comeback via a directorial project, which he intends to dedicate to fans, after his studying stint.

Hu Ge is best remembered for his roles in Chinese period drama series such as Nirvana in Fire and Chinese Paladin 3, just to name a few.
