Is Michelle Chen pregnant?

Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen and her husband-to-be, Chinese actor Chen Xiao, have long been dogged with rumours of pregnancy.

The couple first met while filming the drama, The Romance of the Condor Heroes in 2014. After dating for seven months, Chen Xiao popped the question in Paris at the end of 2015. During Chinese New Year this year, the couple travelled to meet their respective in-laws, and later announced that they were set to wed in July this year.

When rumours started to swirl, alleging that the lovebirds were expecting a bun in the oven, Michelle and Chen Xiao’s managers denied the rumours, and even revealed that the couple were holding their wedding in July as Michelle had always dreamt of a summer wedding.

On Sunday, netizens once again started spreading rumours that the couple was expecting, with Michelle’s company stepping out once more to clarify that Michelle had already addressed these rumours at an event in Taipei, Taiwan. They also assured everyone that they’ll “inform everyone immediately once they have news.”

However, Michelle did not address these rumours at her event and only spoke about her wedding, revealing that her bridesmaids would be “the prettiest bridesmaids”. Additionally, the 33-year-old had revealed that Chen Xiao often cooks nourishing tonic soups for her, echoing beliefs of a shotgun marriage.
