Jam Hsiao gives birthday gifts of clothes to god-daughter

Jam Hsiao is officially the godfather we all wish we had. The generous Taiwanese singer’s birthday presents to his god-daughter, actress–model Kelly Lin’s elder daughter, Kaitlin, included a dress and Burberry coat worth almost NT$30,000 (approximately S$1,306), Taiwan media reports.

Jam said he had seen David Beckham’s daughter, Harper, wear the same outfit and thought it looked lovely so he bought one for Kaitlin.

The "New Endless Love" singer had even blocked off the entire day of August 31 so he could spend time with Kaitlin, and the pair celebrated the toddler’s fourth birthday with cake at Jam’s place.

As early as 2013, Jam has been spoiling Kaitlin, giving her a set of fairytale books that cost NT$200,000 (approximately S$8,704) when she was not yet 2. He has even said without hesitation that he would leave the NT$50 million (approximately S$2.17 million) house he’s living in now to Kaitlin in future.

On Monday, Kelly updated her Weibo with pictures of Kaitlin and wrote, “Time flies, my dear girl is 4! Happy birthday yesterday. Love you always.”

Kelly married Chinese-American Chris Young in 2011 and had a second daughter, Maggie, this year. The actress and Jam are good friends.
