Jay Chou shows off his cooking prowess

Jay Chou has the labels singer, composer, actor, director and businessman to his name and could possibly be adding another to his ever-growing repertoire: chef.

The Taiwanese multi-hyphenate rolled up his sleeves and stepped into the kitchen last week to whip up a feast for his wife, Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan and their friends.

The entire process was captured by Hannah on her phone, with the 25-year-old uploading snippets of it on her Instagram stories as her husband cooked up a storm.

In the videos, Jay, who was dressed in a black tee, could be seen standing over a rice-filled wok on the stove top, stirring the contents. His friend, dressed in a lime green tee, stood beside him as his assistant chef.

After the rice dish was deemed to be ready to presented to his guests, the chef sampled a bite of the dish, before giving it a thumbs-up to signify his approval.

The dish, many guessed to be chicken claypot rice, was then transferred to a claypot and served on the dinner table. Fans who viewed the videos couldn’t help but to comment on how tantalising the dish looked, praising Jay as a “perfect man”.
