Jeannie Hsieh refutes plastic surgery rumours

Taiwanese singer Jeannie Hsieh made headlines recently after she was photographed by the New York Times Fashion page, and a shot of her was uploaded on the portal’s Instagram page. She was in Milan for the Milan Fashion Week 2017, which concluded yesterday (Sep 25).

After the shot of her was uploaded, some commented that she looked drastically different from when she first debuted, and others went further to speculate that she had gone under the knife.

A plastic surgeon spoke to Taiwanese media and claimed that Jeannie has obviously gone through multiple plastic surgery procedures, saying that her heart-shaped face, temples, forehead, chin, nose are areas he suspects that have been altered through surgery.

Her representatives were approached to comment on the rumours, only for these speculations to be shot down by them. They maintained that her features have never been surgically enhanced, and that “the only time she has ever gone under the knife was after a car accident, where she injured her nose bridge”.

In addition, to claims that the 42-year-old has “lost herself” in the midst of achieving higher levels of beauty, her reps stated that “Jeannie will always be Jeannie and there’s no one like her! There’s no need for her to work towards being the person that people assume that she is – she’ll lose herself if she tries to appease everyone.”

It was previously reported that Jeannie got into a car accident at the age of 17, but the singer has not elaborated more on the nature of the incident.
