Taiwanese singer Jimmy Lin is known for being both an impressive singer and actor and a competent race car driver. He holds the record as the
youngest singer, at age 18, to hold a show in Hong Kong Coliseum, and also clinched multiple awards in racing competitions since he started in 1997.

However, he shared recently that he will be putting his racing career aside, after health reports from a checkup he did a month prior brought to light injuries he sustained over the years from the sport.

His health report showed that parts of his cervical and lumbar vertebrae (neck and back joints) had slipped out of place, and his doctor advised him to halt all racing activities for the time being so as not to aggravate his injuries.

This is not the worst injury Jimmy had gotten from the sport, as he revealed that he once had steel nails inserted into his right leg to mend his broken bones. “The nails have already been removed by surgery,” he clarified.

The 43-year-old jokingly added that the injuries will not hinder

baby-making plans with his wife, Kelly Chen, as they hope to have another child within these two years.

“My mum tells me that a baby born into the Year of the Dog or Pig is good for me,” he said, “Kelly and I are currently doing our best, as we hope that our next child won’t be more than four years apart from the twins.”

The couple have three sons, fraternal twins 2-year-old Jenson and Kyson, and oldest son 8-year-old Kimi.

They will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary next year, and Jimmy plans to hold another wedding ceremony to mark the special occasion.
