The actor says it took him half a year to come to terms with it

Li Yapeng opens up about his divorce with Faye Wong
Chinese actor Li Yapeng opened up about the end of his eight-year marriage to Hong Kong singer Faye Wong recently on popular Chinese talk show A Date with Luyu.He shared that he was against the idea of splitting up, and spent half a year rejecting the idea before finally agreeing to it.“The divorce made me feel like a failure,” he admitted, “I was unable to provide a complete family for my daughter, Li Yan. When I see her, I am reminded of how much of a failure I am.”The 46-year-old actor could not hold back his tears as he continued, “I felt really lonely during that time, but it doesn’t count for much anymore. From the moment I agreed to go our separate ways, I have already come to terms with it.”Yapeng tied the knot with Faye in 2005 before getting a divorce in 2013. The pair have

one daughter together, 12-year-old Li Yan.

Faye also has an elder daughter, 21-year-old Leah Dou from her previous marriage, and reconciled with her former lover, Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse, in 2014.
