Lin Chi-ling assures fans of her safety after quake

Residents in Taiwan were jolted awake in the wee hours of February 6 when a 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit. Many of them checked in to social media to assure that they were safe.

Lin Chi-ling, however, caused many fans to worry about her after she shared that she "sustained a minor injury while I was dizzy". Her Weibo post, which said, "Thank you for your concern. I hope rescue efforts proceed smoothly and everyone in Tainan stays safe. The new Lunar New Year has just begun and I hope everyone will live better than before," has garnered many comments asking her about her injury.

To which, her manager shared that she is currently on holiday and will not ask about her exact location. "She's doing fine and only sustained abraisions. Chi-ling never thought that she would gain so much attention after her statement. We're sorry for this and hope that everyone shows more concern towards those affected by the disaster."
