Lynn Hung seeks treatment for ‘mummy’s thumb’
The actress welcomed her twin daughters last month, and was previously facing severe water retention
When approached by the media, the 37-year-old, who gave birth to twin daughters in Hong Kong last month, confirmed that she was seeing the doctor for a medical condition called ‘mummy’s thumb’ or De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis. The condition, which causes pain in the wrist and lower thumb, is said to affect 50 percent of new mothers due to frequent lifting of their newborn.
Lynn was accompanied by her mother, and was ferried home by her husband, Hong Kong businessman Ken Kwok, swiftly after the treatment.
her desire to have children, appears to be taking it all in stride.
On May 4, she shared a photo of herself posing with victory signs in her bandages over Weibo, and wrote, “It’s painful but I’m happily enduring it.”
