Mark Chao rubbishes dating rumours with co-star Dilraba Dilmurat

In a recent interview, Mark expressed disbelief at these rumours and pointed out that he and Dilraba shot only one scene together.

“I really like Dilraba, she was really hardworking in Eternal Love, but we only had one solo scene together, this rumour is absolutely baseless,” he chuckled.

Mark added that his wife, who was equally amused by the rumours, remarked, “Why are they talking about the two of you? They should have thought of a story that was more believable.”

The Taiwanese actor also shared that his Chinese actress wife Gao Yuanyuan was with him—and lived in the same hotel room as he did—throughout the drama’s entire production period. Although Yuanyuan was never seen visiting Mark on set, insiders revealed that she was always waiting for him in the hotel.

In fact, Yuanyuan’s desire to spend more time with her husband was echoed in a recent interview she did while promoting her upcoming film, Sons of the Neon Night.

Explaining why she took on lesser work projects after getting married, Yuanyuan shared her intentions to dedicate her time to her family instead of focusing on her acting career. As both she and Mark are actors, their busy schedules meant that they had to spend a lot of time away from home, and Yuanyuan wanted to be able to spend more time with her elders.

Eternal Love is the most-watched fantasy period series in China this year. Its supporting actress Dilraba arrived to a new level of attention and fame this year and is dubbed the next big thing by showbiz pundits.
