Masaharu Fukuyama, Kazue Fukiishi expecting first child

Japanese actor Masaharu Fukuyama announced last week that he is expecting his first child with his wife, Japanese actress Kazue Fukiishi.

In September last year, the actor broke the hearts of many fans when he announced that he had tied the knot with Kazue, with reports of his management company’s stocks plunging due to the announcement.

Last Sunday, the actor officially announced that he is currently expecting a baby with Kazue, though he did not reveal the gender. The 47-year-old went on to share that the baby will be born during winter this year.

Masaharu first debuted in 1990 as a singer, before branching out to become an actor, to much success. However, his latest drama, Love Story, has not been doing well, with an average viewership rating of only 8.5 percent.

Thus, after the actor announced his good news, fans immediately started leaving their blessings for the couple, relaying their hopes that the baby will help to turn Masaharu’s luck around.
