Michelle Chen might not marry this year

Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen, 32, became engaged to Chinese actor Chen Xiao, 28, last October, but the actress said she’s so busy working that she might not have time to get married this year.

“I’ve always wanted to get married, but I’ve been so busy lately, I haven’t had time to make preparations,” she said.

At a event in Hong Kong yesterday, Michelle said she’s been occupied promoting her new movie Run for Love, which premieres on February 14, and she hasn’t had the chance to go on vacation yet.

Asked whether this year would be her last Valentine’s Day as a single person, she said, “No, I didn’t think that much, I’m not thinking of marriage yet.”

She added she doesn’t yet know whether she’ll be working on Valentine’s Day, but if she isn’t she’ll consider going out for a movie with Chen Xiao and giving him a gift, though she isn’t sure what to give him.

And as for the type of wedding she prefers, Michelle said she would like a small wedding with family and close friends present, and she should be holding her wedding in both mainland China and Taiwan.

Michelle and Chen Xiao met on the set of 2014 Chinese drama series The Romance of the Condor Heroes.
