The actress also shared her dream wedding, a summer beach affair

Michelle Chen wants Rainie Yang as her maid-of-honour

Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen and Chinese actor Chen Xiao confirmed their engagement last month and have been bombarded with questions of when the two will walk down the aisle ever since.

Having dated for seven months prior to their engagement, the pair took their relationship from reel-to-real life after working together on The Romance of the Condor Heroes.

Michelle spoke to the media recently and revealed that she did not hesitate when accepting her beau’s romantic proposal, adding that reason why she decided on settling down after staying single for so long was because she realised that she has met the right person.

Sharing her idea of a dream wedding, the 32-year-old gushed that she would love to have her nuptials on the beach in the summer while donning a simple gown with a heart-shaped collar. Adding that she wants good friend Rainie Yang as her maid-of-honour, she coyly added that a date has yet to be set. “It won’t be that soon – why is everyone so eager to see me get married?” Michelle laughed.

She also shared that as Chen Xiao’s Chinese zodiac sign is the rabbit, the two symbolise their love with a rabbit figurine and joked that she will get her wedding guests to don rabbit ears before entering the venue.

On a more serious note, Michelle added that while the two are already happily engaged, neither has met the other party’s parents, explaining that she will bring her fiancé home soon to receive the stamp of approval from her elders.
