Myolie Wu is expecting her first child
The actress made the announcement on Mother’s Day
Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu has been vocal about her efforts to start a family together with her husband, businessman Philip Lee, from visiting a Chinese doctor to temporarily halting work.
Yesterday, on Mother’s Day, the actress posted a series of photos taken at the seaside together with her husband on both Weibo and Instagram, announcing that she is four months pregnant.
“This year’s Mother’s Day is too special, thankful for the present sent to us by God, it feels so surreal,” the 37-year-old wrote.
In one of the pictures, Philip can be seen kissing Myolie’s baby bump, while Myolie grins in happiness. The next few pictures showed Myolie posing with her hands on her belly to accentuate her baby bump, with the blue sky behind her.
Myolie also shared a picture of her baby’s ultrasound scan, writing, “Our Lee baby is so excited that it has started doing sit-ups in my belly, baby please wait for a while more, daddy and mummy are really excited to meet with you too!”
Philip also updated his Instagram account with a picture of him and Myolie from the same shoot, writing, “Happy Mothers Day (sic) to the most beautiful mother-to-be. We cannot wait to see you! So for now I will just try to listen to your little heartbeat,” in English.
The couple also shared that they do not know of their baby’s gender yet, with Myolie sharing that the couple only intends to ask the doctor about their baby’s gender later, when the baby’s bigger.
The couple tied the knot last December and went for a 12-city honeymoon after their big day.
