Myolie Wu speaks up about baby-making plans

The singer raised some suspicions when she went alcohol-free during her 37th birthday party

Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu celebrated her 37th birthday last night at a birthday party that was planned by her businessman husband Phillip Lee. The star studded party included Myolie’s close friends or ‘sisters’, fellow Hong Kong actresses Nancy Wu, Paisley Wu and Elaine Yiu; hong Kong actors Pal Sinn and William So were also present at the party.

As part of the celebrations, Phillip also prepared a floral two-tiered birthday cake, longevity buns and a roasted pig for the birthday girl.

However, Myolie didn’t drink a single glass of alcohol at her party and online posts of her friends wishing that she will “give birth to a pretty child and be a pretty mother” led the media to speculate that she might be expecting a baby.

The rumours turned out to be false as Myolie, who promised her in-laws that she will give birth to a fair and chubby baby in time, have responded through her manager that she is “currently busy with filming at the Mainland until March next year, so baby-making plans will be reconsidered next year.”

The couple tied the knot last December and went for a 12-city honeymoon.
