Myolie Wu to focus on starting a family
The actress shared that she will not be accepting any drama offers for the time being
Hong Kong actress Myolie Wu tied the knot with her businessman husband, Philip Lee in December 2015.
Since then, the actress has been vocal about her desire to start a family soon, though her efforts have been hampered by her busy schedule.
Recently, in an interview Myolie shed light on her life as a newly-wed, sharing that she currently lives together with her mother-in-law. The 37-year-old revealed that she feels lucky, as her mother-in-law cooks dinner every day for her.
“I have an outstanding mother-in-law in my life. The most important thing is [for us to have] mutual respect. Nowadays, I will inform her of my working schedule,” Myolie divulged.
The actress also praised her husband for his maturity, saying, “In the past, I’d just do as I wish. Now, he has taught me that we have to have a discussion before doing things. It’s not that he’s forbidding me from doing the things that I want, but that we need to communicate, which is why we’re so happy.”
When asked about her plans to start a family, Myolie shared that the couple has planned it out already, and that her husband often visits her on-set when she’s busy filming.
“I will not be accepting any drama offers now. However, I’m still open to event appearances or advertisement shoots. I’ve also been visiting a Chinese doctor, though I’ve not resorting to trying out home remedies. I’m hoping for good news soon,” the actress shared.
The couple tied the knot last December and went for a 12-city honeymoon after their big day.
