Mystery female in Mayday’s new music video steals the spotlight

Taiwanese band Mayday released the music video for their new song, ‘Brotherhood’, two days ago on Dec 31.

The video centered on the close bond between the five members of the band – Ashin, Monster, Stone, Masa and Guan You. It opened with them sharing their life on a talk show with host Jacky Wu, where they confidently declared that “we will stay brothers forever.” However, the subsequent scenes ironically showed conflict and tension amongst them as they sabotaged one another.

One particular scene that caught the eye of many was the scene of Ashin being set up by Stone. The former was taking a picture with a female fan while Stone secretly took a photo of the two of them and spread false rumours about them being in a relationship to the paparazzi.

Although this was simply a scene from their music video, netizens became curious about the female actor and attempted to uncover her identity.

However, Mayday has simply replied that she was just “an aspiring actor who passed the auditions.”

The video ended with Jacky yelling “cut” just when the quintet were about to fight on stage, showing that it was all an act and that they are still as close as ever.
