Namewee set to marry girlfriend of 7 years

Malaysian hip-hop artiste, Namewee, who is known for courting controversy with his bold statements and explicit music videos, has a girlfriend whose identity he’s been keeping a secret.

According to Taiwan media reports, Namewee has been dating his personal makeup artist, Sarah for seven years. The 35-year-old is usually tight-lipped about his personal life and has refused to comment about his relationship when asked about it previously.

At the recent 28th Golden Melody Awards, Namewee walked the red carpet with girl group AMOi-AMOi, but insiders revealed that Sarah was present at the event as a member of his entourage. They also shared that the couple have a very strong relationship and “behave like a loving old married couple.”

When reached for comments, a music label rep shared that Namewee and Sarah are in a “stable relationship” and although Namewee has plans to marry his girlfriend, the rep clarified “things are still in the planning stage” as he does not have time to hold a wedding now.

Namewee recently released ‘Ali AhKao Dan Muthu’, a patriotic song he wrote for Malaysia’s national day celebrations and is currently working on his fourth album.
