Actor’s newborn daughter weighs 2.88 kg

Ou Di announces birth of first child

Taiwanese actor and host Ou Han Sheng (aka Ou Di or Eddy Ou) announced through his manager the birth of his daughter last night. “Thank you to our elders, friends, fans and the media for your concern. JoJo, our first daughter, was born today at about 6 pm, weighing 2.88 kg,” the statement read.

“JoJo is the most precious gift we’ve received. Now our family of three is truly happy, and we hope we can share this happiness with everyone.”

The actor said his wife, Zheng Yun Can, started feeling uncomfortable yesterday morning while he was playing video games, and the couple rushed to the hospital. JoJo was born 12 hours later.

Ou Di married his Chongqing-native wife last August and they held an elaborate wedding in the Czech Republic this May. The next month he

announced they were expecting.

Celebrity friends including Liu Yifei, Li Chen, Alyssa Chia and Cho Lam Wong congratulated Ou Di on becoming a father.
