Public worried about Etta Ng’s wellbeing
The daughter of Elaine Ng and Jackie Chan finally posted a picture of herself on social media after a long period of inactivity
Etta Ng, the teenage daughter of Hong Kong former beauty queen Elaine Ng and renowned action film star Jackie Chan, appeased worrying netizens when she posted a series of selfies online yesterday.
The 15-year-old received attention from the media and public since early last month when she had filed a police report against her mother for mistreating her. Elaine was since arrested and charged for her alleged child abuse. Though Elaine was later released on bail, the mother-and-daughter reportedly have not seen each other after the incident as Etta had stayed at her god-mother’s home.
Since the incident, Etta’s minimal social media updates about her cat – and not herself – sparked concern from the public. Insiders added that the 15-year-old was afraid to phone her mother as she had only intended her police report to help Elaine quit compulsive drinking but was shocked to learn that her mother was arrested instead. She was also said to have refused to step out of her house and only expressed her feelings through drawing.
