Rainie Yang, Li Ronghao deny rumours of marriage

Taiwanese singer–actress Rainie Yang was asked pointedly whether she and Chinese Mandopop singer Li Ronghao had married in secret when her former rumoured boyfriend, Taiwanese pop star Wang Zi, let it slip in his Facebook post to her: “You’re married!”

“The whole world is telling me you’ve gotten married! Be happy!” he wrote.

It was revealed on September 1 that Rainie, 31, and Ronghao, 30, had registered their marriage at China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs in July, according to Taiwan media, but are keeping the marriage under wraps to avoid drawing attention away from the new music both are due to release. Hence, they did not announce the marriage or hold a banquet.

On Tuesday, it was also reported that lately Rainie has been camping in Beijing keeping Ronghao company while he focuses on recording his new album.

Both their managers have denied the two got married recently. Rainie’s manager said: “Rainie grew up in the media spotlight, so she will inform everyone if she gets married. Don’t speak so carelessly during the Lunar Seventh Month.”

Ronghao’s manager said: “He hasn’t gotten married, he’s focusing his energy on creating his new album these days, so please support him.”

The couple have been dating for less than a year after meeting last November. This February their relationship seemed to be confirmed when Ronghao shared a photo of them looking close. Though neither party has explicitly made clear their relationship, Rainie has been spotted numerous times attending Ronghao’s concerts, even heading to his residence in Beijing, and Ronghao’s mother is reportedly pleased with Rainie.
