Renzo Liu, Joyce Chau tie the knot in Okinawa

Celebrity couple Renzo Liu and Joyce Chau (better known as Xiao Qiao) tied the knot yesterday (April 3) in a destination wedding held at the Diamond Ocean Chapel in Okinawa, Japan.

At the wedding, Renzo declared, “I’ve used up all 22 lifetime’s worth of luck in order to be able to marry Xiao Qiao,” with the 37-year-old replying that she’s “the luckiest woman in the world” in that very moment.

The bride also changed into two different outfits that night, with Renzo exclaiming that she was “extremely pretty”.

Their rings, which were from luxury brand Bvlgari, did not have any gems embedded in them, as Xiao Qiao preferred them that way.

Commenting on Xiao Qiao’s tears of happiness when she walked in with her father, Renzo laughingly said, “This wedding pretty much looks like a scene from a drama, with the bride, and all her bridesmaids crying. I was on the verge of tears, but didn’t dare to [cry]. Quanquan [the 49-year-old’s son from his previous marriage] looked very stoic at first, but I saw him discreetly wiping away his tears later!”

The wedding was a private affair, with no celebrity guests invited. All the details were personally sorted out by Xiao Qiao, who was so busy that she only went to bed at two in the morning on the day before the wedding.

The couple, who dated for six years, first registered their marriage in December last year. Renzo has a son, 14-year-old Liu Ziquan from his previous marriage to a non-celeb.
