Ruby Lin trying to lose weight for new role

Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin is starting to prepare for her first drama role since giving birth to her first child, nicknamed “Little Angel” in Chinese earlier this year.

The 41-year-old uploaded a number of selfies of her bare-faced self in the gym, to the delight of her fans, who praised the actress for her good skin and beauty.

However, in her caption, Ruby wrote, “Preparing for war, the countdown [starts now]… #MyBoy”. The actress’s hashtag got the attention of a number of netizens, who wondered if Ruby was pregnant with her second child, with some even jumping the gun and congratulating Ruby.

But, it turned out that Ruby was actually referring to her upcoming drama, My Boy (unofficial title). The actress had wanted to shake off the weight she had gained during her pregnancy before she started work, which was why she had decided to hit the gym.

A couple of netizens were undeterred by that fact, however, and continued to speculate that Ruby might just be planning to give her Little Angel a little brother after filming ends.

Ruby married Chinese actor Wallace Huo last August in a dreamy Bali wedding, and welcomed their first child, a daughter nicknamed Little Angel, in January.
