Tanya Chua rekindles romance with ex-boyfriend

Local singer Tanya Chua refuted all rumours that she and French baking teacher, Johann Martin had broken up, by posting a picture of both their fingers doing a peace sign, together with their signature hashtag.

Tanya was first spotted on a date with Johann in Taiwan last year in August. Since then, she would always post pictures of the two of them together and used the hashtag of their combined initials, “JT”. She also seemingly confirmed their romance during one of her concerts last year where she said that she was “not the kind who would announce her relationship,” but “if people saw her, it would be very obvious.”

However, after dating for less than half a year, breakup rumours of the couple began to circulate in March. This began when the singer deleted pictures of the two of them on Instagram and also stopped signing off her posts with “JT.”

These rumours seem to have been squashed yesterday when Tanya posted a picture of her and another person doing a peace sign, with only their fingers showing. Fans speculated that it was Johann based on the fact that she used the hashtag “JT” again.

The 42-year-old singer also captioned it with “Beaucoup de choses et beaucoup d'amour”, which translates to “Lots of things and lots of love,” further confirming that the couple had rekindled their relationship, or simply, had not even broken up before.

The couple met at a baking school in Paris and began dating shortly after.
