Tiffany Tang and Yang Mi’s agencies deny ‘fake friendship’ rumours

Chinese actresses Tiffany Tang and Yang Mi first met in 2009 on the set of Chinese Paladin III, where they were both cast members. Since then, the pair frequently shared photos of themselves together and were also spotted shopping together on several occasions.

In 2014, Tiffany was also one of Yang Mi’s bridesmaids when the 31-year-old actress got married. In return, Yang Mi wished her friend the best in her love life, passing her the wedding bouquet. According to Chinese tradition, this indicates that the the recipient will be the next one to get married.

However, netizens have gathered that the pair have not been close since the start of 2017, as their interactions appeared to be few and far between. Calling their friendship a facade, netizens said that the pair’s relationship only ‘appeared infallible’, when it was in reality ‘a scheming one’.

Tiffany and Yang Mi’s agencies have since refuted all rumours, calling them fake news circulated by netizens with the intention to harm the reputation of the stars. Yang Mi’s agency also urged the public to have a discerning eye towards such news, and to not believe in them.
