Vanness Wu says he wasn’t being fierce to questions on his marriage

The former F4 member’s Instagram post yesterday refuted that he was not acting furiously at his recent press conference

Vanness Wu says he wasn’t being fierce to questions on his marriage

American actor-singer Vanness Wu was in Hong Kong to attend a movie press conference two days ago and instructed his staff to ban personal questions.

When reporters still asked the 36-year-old about his relationship status with Singaporean heiress-wife Arissa Cheo, his expression turned sour as he replied: “What! My answer to everyone’s questions is the same! I want to keep my personal matters private, thank you!”

Another reporter asked if his current situation would affect his mood during shoots and he bluntly replied, “If you keep asking, it might.”

Vanness also denied answering questions about Arissa’s lengthy rant on her private Instagram account last week (July 3). In what is believed to be a post directed to Vanness, Arissa complained about how said person “basically excludes [her] all the time”, was “never there for [her]… not even at [her] lowest point”.

She admitted that she has been constantly lashing out from “all the years of lies, deceit, pent-up frustration and prolonged emotional abuse, looking like the fool” and said, “I’ve sucked it up and kept silent, been there done that, while I ended up being vilified as the “cheater” and “wild party girl” who’s “not good enough”.”

Yesterday, Vanness posted a short Instavideo clip poking fun at the claims that he was being fierce, joking that even smiling can be misjudged by the media as scary instead of happy. He also posted a link to the article which made those claims and posted a punching emoji followed by a peace sign emoji.

In addition to that, he also posted a picture of the quote, “Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway,” which raised suspicions among netizens that he could be referring to his marital status.

Vanness and Arissa dated on and off for seven years before they married in 2013. However, the couple had major spats online and ranted about each other from time to time even after tying the knot.
