Vic Chou refuses to put his daughter in the spotlight

Taiwanese singer Vic Chou often shares about life with his daughter but yet, insists that he would not allow her to appear on any programmes or take part in endorsements to earn money. He even hopes that she would “never be in the limelight.”

Vic and his wife, fellow actress Reen Yu welcomed a daughter in August last year. Shortly after, Reen left showbiz to look after her child full-time, leaving Vic as the current sole breadwinner of the family. Despite having a very busy schedule in China, he still managed to come to a consensus with his team to allow him to return to Taiwan at least once a week to visit his family.

Vic was recently witnessed playing in the pool at home with his family on Sept 13. Reen was seen putting on a swimming float for her daughter while Vic took a beach ball out for the whole family to play, making use of the little time he had to spend and enjoy it with his wife and daughter.

With the rise of many reality shows involving celebrities and their children nowadays, many children are getting screen time or exposure on their parents’ social media but the F4 star has the opposite idea.

He said that although he loves talking about his daughter, he is very protective over her and does not share anything personal about her, not even revealing her nickname as he felt it was similar to her real name.

“If I could help it, I wished that she would never have to face the media,” said the 36-year-old singer.

Vic’s manager has also expressed that he had always been a very private person and always separated his work and personal life so as to prevent his loved ones from getting unnecessary attention.

Vic and Reen registered their marriage in November 2015.
